Week 25

27 January

Maya gives me that cute, bet-you-can’t catch-me-smiling grin. Her Cabbage Patch doll Charlotte used to belong to her mother. I remember when such dolls were all the craze.

28 January

This is just a typical pile on my table (when I don’t get around to cleaning it up)—camera, purse, article, RS notebook, notepad, papers, etc.

29 January

Our good neighbor Kent got to celebrate his 80th birthday with daughters Sharon and Tricia. Lots of neighbors and friends joined in honoring him.

30 January

Here is a bottle of sacred Ganges water that Stephen scooped out of the river to bring home for Carlie, who taught his classes while he was in India. You can be sure that I quickly gave him a hand wipe to clean his hands afterwards.

31 January

Squaw Peak guards us to the east—I do love our mountains. I feel firm and secure with them surrounding me.

1 February

This is one of my kitchen cupboards—what more could one want besides books, crackers, peanut butter, and honey?

2 February

Nephews Ted and Grant joined us for dinner. The next day Ted moved into his own apartment after living here about three weeks.
